Ariana DeBose is a young Hollywood actress, singer, and dancer from the United States.
DeBose was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, and grew up in the adjacent city of Raleigh. She began dancing at an early age and attended Winston-Salem's Governor's School of North Carolina for the Arts.
DeBose made her Broadway debut in the ensemble of Hamilton in 2015. She went on to star in the musicals Pippin and A Bronx Tale.
DeBose was cast as Anita in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story film adaption in 2021. The film was a critical and economic triumph, and DeBose's performance received widespread acclaim.
