Melissa Barrera, a Mexican actress, has been withdrawn from the planned new Scream-7 film because she made a tweet on social media opposing Israel’s assault on Hamas in Gaza.
In a message published on her Instagram on November 22, 2023, actress Barrera stated that she intends to “continue speaking out for those in need and advocating for peace and security, human rights and freedom.”
Spyglass said that the actress had been eliminated from Scream 7 owing to anti-Semitic social media remarks. According to the firm, we have zero tolerance for anti-Semitism or incitement of hatred in any form.
