A woman was detained by police in New York City. According to a law enforcement source, the woman broke into the house of famous actor Robert De Niro early on 15 December 2022,

Who is Robert De Niro

De Niro, 79, was reared in Manhattan where he was born. He is regarded as one of the greatest actors of his generation. For his body of work throughout his career, he was also given the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2011 at the Golden Globes.

Numerous awards and honors, including two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award have been received by him.

The actor, who was on a different floor, did not interact with the woman, the source claimed. The suspect is one of the top five thieves in the precinct and is known to the New York Police Department from prior arrests, an insider claimed.

Burglar-Shanice Aviles

The police recognized the woman as Shanice Aviles aged 30. Aviles was wanted in connection with six other burglaries. She had recently been arrested on December 8, according to police sources, and was a repeat offender. Between November 25 and December 8, alone in the Upper East Side’s 19th Precinct, Aviles was detained for seven break-ins.

The lady was observed by police from the 19th Precinct early on 15 December 2022 wandering along a street in Manhattan’s Upper East Side and reportedly tried a number of business building doors before breaking in via one of the residences. According to the source, they pursued her and detained her on the ground level.

Incident

A representative for the NYPD’s deputy commissioner of public information told CNN that at roughly 2:45 a.m., police detained the 30-year-old woman inside a home as she tried to remove belongings. An iPad and Christmas gifts were included with the property.

According to the spokesman, there were visible traces of forced entry in the basement door of the house. The woman was arrested, and charges are awaited. The spokesman declined to identify the home’s owner.

According to authorities, there was no interaction between the actor and the suspected thief. Robert De Niro’s spokesperson, Stan Rosenfield, stated that his client was “fine” and that no remark will be made regarding the attempted break-in.
